A bicyclist died over the weekend, after he entered an Oildale intersection against a red light.
The crash happened Saturday around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Norris Road and N. Chester Avenue.
The bicyclist, now identified by officials as a 58-year-old man, slammed into the side of a silver Dodge truck, according to CHP.
The truck had the right of way, and the bicyclist entered the intersection against a red light, CHP said.
The driver of the truck stayed at the scene of the crash.
The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to CHP.
His name has not been released.
