A man riding a bicycle was killed by a hit and run driver near Palm and Gromer avenues in Wasco Thursday afternoon.
Kern County Sheriff’s deputies stopped and arrested the suspected driver not far from the scene of crash.
CHP officers say the man on the bike was heading north on Palm Avenue when he was struck by a man driving in a pickup truck driving in the same direction at around 3:30.
The victim was described only as a man in his 50s.
The suspected hit-and-run driver is described to be a man in his 20s.
CHP is investigating the collision.
