Anomalous, the Virtual Enterprise team from Bakersfield High School, is currently ranked in the top six in the nation right now.
This is the second straight year the students won state to move onto nationals in New York. The team will be competing in the final round of nationals Tuesday.
At the beginning of the year there were 550 business plan teams and now we are 1 of 6. Looking forward to what tomorrow’s final competition holds! @VEInternational #2018YBS pic.twitter.com/QE6F51EVrC— anomalous 🍊 (@anomalousvei) April 16, 2018
Virtual Enterprise is a business simulation program that offers students a competitive edge through project-based, collaborative learning and the development of 21st-century skills in entrepreneurship, global business, problem solving, communication, personal finance and technology, according to its website.
Drawing on the European tradition of apprenticeships, this multidimensional, experiential learning model, which is part of a global network of student-run businesses in over 40 countries, transforms high school students into independent-thinking business professionals and their classrooms into offices.
The winners will be announced Wednesday.
Good luck BHS!
