Bakersfield Recycles Day takes place Nov. 10

Thousands of communities around the United States will celebrate and highlight the importance of recycling this weekend for America Recycles Day.

Bakersfield Recycles Day is taking place on Nov. 10.

Bakersfield’s event is joining thousands of other events across the country to promoting and celebrating recycling efforts in the U.S.

Kern County residents can do their part by dropping off recyclables from their home at the South Parking Lot of Rabobank Arena from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

You can bring:

  • E-waste 
  • Large and small household items including mattresses
  • Passenger vehicle tires (Kern County residents only – limit 4)
  • Used motor oil filters (Kern County residents only)
  • Used clothing, shoes, linens,
  • Surplus construction materials
  • Paper shredding (limit 2 file size boxes)
  • Batteries and other recyclable material
