An annual tradition returns to Bakersfield as people gather to pray for our communities, our state and nation.
The 39th Bakersfield Prayer Breakfast takes place Thursday at the Rabobank Convention Center.
Everyone in the community of all faiths and political backgrounds is invited to participate in the event.
The keynote speaker this year is Teresa Goines. She is the founder of Old Skool Cafe.
The cafe is a diner she created to help at-risk youth. The cafe has gained national praise and recognition.
Tickets are available at the door for $20, cash only.
The breakfast begins promptly at 6:40 a.m.
