Bakersfield firefighters were able to gain control of a fire at a restaurant in Southwest Bakersfield Monday night.
Firefighters were called to Sangri-La Asian Bistro just after 9:15 p.m. for reports of a fire.
When fire crews entered, they went into a smoke filled restaurant. They eventually located a fire inside a wall and attic space according to Bakersfield Fire Department Battalion Chief John Frando.
No one was inside the restaurant at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
Arson investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
Back in March, the restaurant was closed by county health officials for a “severe roach infestation” by a food prep area.
