The home of the Renegades is in for a makeover.
Bakersfield College says renovation work is planned for Memorial Stadium.
The stadium was built back in the 1950s.
Mike Giacomini, Vice President of Finances and Administrative Services at the college, says the work should be done by late summer right in time for the football season.
Graduation ceremonies will be moved to Rabobank Arena this year.
Construction is expected to start April 1.
The project will be funded through Measure J, which voters approved in 2016.
