BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — It was a recycle day extravaganza Saturday morning, as one local bank championed the community for a cleaner and greener Bakersfield.
Kern Schools Federal Credit Union hosted the Community Recycling Day and Kern County joined in at Bakersfield College.
This was the 13th free community event to keep Bakersfield beautiful. It included free document shredding, electronic waste recycling, a drop-off for bulky waste and household good donations.
Organizers say they will be holding the next event in the fall.
