The Bakersfield Animal Shelter is making some changes to the trap-neuter-return program.

The program begins Tuesday.

Kern County Animal Services will accept the first eight cats for TNR services, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday of each week.

Cats entering the program must be in a trap, over eight weeks of age and brought in by a resident living in unincorporated county areas.

A limit of two feline friends per day.

Drop off is between 8 and 9 a.m., and pick up is the same day after surgery.

The shelter is located at 3951 Fruitvale Ave.
