Authorities locate missing babies; mother arrested

Wednesday Update: The children were located, according to Kern County Sheriff’s Office. A woman accused of kidnapping her own children last month was arrested overnight, but the search continues for her two babies.


Authorities are asking for help to find two missing infants who were abducted by their mother, according to the Kern County District Attorney’s Office.

The DA’s office says Zerenity and Anthony Coleman were abducted on Nov. 10 by their mother Zachiah Pratt who does not have custody of either child.

Zerenity is a 21-month-old girl and Anthony is only 11 months old.

Zerenity is described as 3 feet, 5 inches tall, weighs 22 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Anthony is described as 3 feet tall, weighs 14 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Authorities believe the children may be in Bakersfield or the Shafter areas.

Pratt had a warrant out for her arrest. She faces two felony counts of child stealing and one misdemeanor count of disobeying a court order. Her children were not with her when she was arrested, and the search for them continues, according to KCSO.
