A longtime defense has been charged in connection to an alleged DUI collision. Henry Noto is accused of driving drunk and causing an injury collision.
Noto appeared in court Friday morning, charged with two counts of felony dui.
The CHP said Noto was getting off Interstate 5 when he allegedly blew a top sign and crashed into two pickup trucks.
David perez, 26, a local correctional officer was seriously injured. According to CHP, the driver of the second truck had moderate injuries.
Noto and his female passenger were also seriously injured. When he was released from the hospital, Noto was booked into jail.
Noto has pleaded no contest to dui twice before within the last 5 years. If convicted, this would be Noto’s third dui, but his first felony. A charge that holds a sentence of potentially mandatory prison time.
Noto did not enter a plea friday. His arraignment was continued to next week, along with a bail review hearing.
