On Saturday residents of Arvin vocalized their call for justice after multiple homicides in recent years.
Of those in attendance were family members of Ismael Gutierrez and Jose “JJ” Salazar, both of whom were homicide victims.
“The sooner you take these criminals off the streets, the better the town is going to be, because it’s going to be a vicious cycle. Young men are going to continue to die senselessly” said Bea Cruz, family member of one of the homicide victims.
17 News records show there have been nine homicides in Arvin since 2016. Each case remains unsolved.
