The talented Arvin High School Color Guard is in Ohio competing at the WGI World Championships and are one step closer to winning it all.
The team competed against dozens of other top-rated squads and have held their own in the opening rounds.
On Friday, the team’s coach said they have made it to the finals, tied for first place with a school from Indiana.
It’s the first time Arvin has made it to the finals and only the second school from Kern County to make it that far.
The begin their final round competition Saturday morning.
