Arvin city manager accepts new job in Nevada

The city of Arvin announced the resignation of its city manager.

Alfonso Noyola has accepted a job as city manager for Boulder City, Nevada. His last day will be March 31. 

Noyola has been with the city of Arvin since January 2015 and has made significant contributions to the community these past 3 years, according to Arvin Mayor Jose Gurrola. 

Earlier this month, Noyola told 17 News he took the job in Nevada so he can be closer to his family in Las Vegas.

Chief of Police Jerry Breckenridge will take over as acting city manager until someone new is hired, according to the city.
