An antique sale raised thousands of dollars for local shelter animals this weekend.
The Bakersfield SPCA held its 5th annual “Pawtiques and Treasures” yard sale. Folks from all over town donated their antiques for the shelter to sell and the money raised will go directly to shelter animals.
Julie Johnson, executive director of Bakersfield SPCA said Saturday’s sale raised about $5,000, which is enough to spay and neuter 100 cats and dogs.
The “Pawtiques and Treasures” yard sale takes place the first weekend of November each year, so mark your calendars for next year.
