The American Lung Association is out with its latest report on the state of our air and once again, Kern County gets a failing grade when it comes to air quality.

The report says everyone’s health is at risk, including children with asthma and adults 65 and over.  Bakersfield ranked second for worst air quality in the nation, behind Los Angeles, according to the report.

Bakersfield ranked third for year-round particle pollution, and first for short-term particle pollution, according to the report.

Out of the top ten most-polluted cities in the nation, eight are California cities, the report says.
