The search and rescue team can rest a little easier, as they are now back home in Kern County.

Since the outbreak of the Camp Fire, the search and rescue team donated nearly 3,000 hours to the mission.

In addition to the volunteer hours, Kern County also had the coroner’s staff aiding in the search for victims.

The team completed their assignment in Butte County and returned home Tuesday evening.
