Tehachapi’s new state-of-the-art hospital is on track to open its doors next week.
On Monday, Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley announced it received its state license— the final regulatory hurdle needed to open the facility.
The new hospital replaces the current medical center in Downtown Tehachapi which was built in 1954.
It has both an ICU and surgery ward along with a 13-room emergency department equipped with trauma, fast track, and triage rooms.
Digital imaging services will also be offered, as well as two gastrointestinal rooms where endoscopies and colonoscopies can be performed, according to the hospital.
The anticipated opening date is Nov. 7.
