The Kern High School District said more security will be at East High School Thursday following a threat on social media aimed at East High School.
A voicemail message was sent to East High School parents Wednesday saying a “disturbing” video was posted to social media. The message said administrators were made aware of the video and was investigated.
Officials said the “responsible party is being held accountable.” Officials did not provide specifics on who was being held accountable.
In a statement, the Kern High School District said its police department does not believe the campus was in imminent danger and additional security will be at the campus Thursday as a precaution.
