New unemployment numbers are out for Kern County and the county’s jobless rate is unchanged from last month.
The unemployment rate was 7.4 percent in November 2017, unchanged from a revised 7.4 percent in October 2017, and below the year-ago estimate of 9.3 percent, the report said.
In November, 328,300 people were employed. That is down from October’s 334,300 but that could be due to seasonal jobs that are not adjusted for.
Kern’s unemployment rate of 7.4 compares to an adjusted rate of 4 percent in California and 3 percent for the country at the same time period.
The numbers show Kern County lost 100 jobs in oil last month.
