On Saturday the 5th Annual Blondes vs. Brunettes flag football game took place.
Although the two teams were divided based on the age-old rivalry of hair color, they were playing for the same cause to help increase awareness of Alzheimer’s disease.
All funds raised will benefit the care, support, advocacy, and research efforts for the Alzheimer’s Association.
“We’re all getting a young group of young girls talking about a disease that they probably wouldn’t have been talking about otherwise” said Amanda Valenzuela, Development Manager of the event.
Close to $30,000 has been raised for the Alzheimer’s Association this year.
The Brunettes also claimed some bragging rights after winning. 18-0.
