The 44th annual Greek Food Festival kicked off Friday and ran through the weekend at St. George Greek Orthodox Church on Truxtun Avenue.
Around 6,000 people enjoyed the live music, activities, and of course the traditional foods like lamb shanks and baklava.
“It’s a great feeling,” said volunteer Joseph Sinopole. “We’ve been doing this for many years, I personally have been here almost 20 years and we see a lot of faces over and over again.”
Proceeds raised will go toward the church and the Alliance Against Family Violence and Sexual Assault.
