Garden Pathways raised a cup to four women they say have a heart for Bakersfield.

Wednesday was the 16th Annual High Tea at the Seven Oaks Country Club. It’s a celebration of local women for their community service.

The four honorees have all done their part to help the Kern County community time and time again.

Lili Marsh was one of those women honored for their work with Kern County Honor Flight. She thanked the community for making those flights possible.

“To look out here to see so many people who have given money to make Honor Flight survive, I can tell you that if you’ve given us a nickel you have changed a life,” Marsh said.

Beverly Camp, Robin Fleming and Janis Varner were the other three women honored for their community work at the event. The past 62 honorees were recognized for their work as well.
