Electric Fans May Be Risky in Extreme Heat _20171005210833111-159532

As May arrives, the grueling summer heat begins to make its way to Kern County.

PG&E knows that for those without adequate shelter from the triple-digit weather, the summer months can be hard. As a way to combat this problem, PG&E opens public cooling centers.

This year, PG&E will be presenting a $30,000 grant to the Kern County Aging and Adult Services Department to help fund some of those cooling centers.
