McFarland police are investigating a shooting that wounded two people — including an 8 year old girl — Tuesday night.
McFarland Police Chief Scot Kimble said officers went to the 200 block of Robertson Avenue at around 8:45 p.m. There they found a 34 year old man with a gunshot wound in each leg and an 8 year old girl with a gunshot wound in the heel of her foot.
Police said their wounds are not life-threatening.
Officials said the 34-year-old got into an argument with others outside of the home. That’s when shots were fired.
Kimble said the 8 year old was not the intended target, adding the bullet may have ricocheted.
Police said the suspect is a male, but could not provide a clearer description. Investigators are working on getting a better description from the 34-year-old man.
No arrests have been made.
