2 people wounded in Flower Street shooting, KCSO says

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Two people were wounded after being shot on Flower Street in East Bakersfield on Tuesday evening.

Kern County sheriff’s deputies were called to the 1300 block of Flower Street at around 5:45 p.m. for a report of a shooting.

KCSO said the victims are males. One of them was a 27 years old, the other is a 16-year-old.

Officials said either one or two people went up to the victims, fired multipe shots at them and ran away.

On Wednesday, the sheriff’s office said witnesses saw two people running from the scene. Deputies found several shell casings and bullet marks on a nearby home.

The two victims were taken to Kern Medical and their wounds were not considered life-threatening. 

No arrests have been made.
