Some of the 10 gang members arrested in a Tuesday sweep found themselves in court Thursday.

The 10 were arrested Tuesday on various charges related to guns and drugs. Bakersfield police say many had previous run-ins with police.

Ryan Johnson, for example was charged with murdering Darryl Porter in 2007,  but had those charges dropped the next year.

Another man, Isaiah Shotwell, was arrested last May, accused of opening fire at people.

Shotwell took a plea deal and was sentenced to 180 days in jail.
