BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A candlelight vigil was held Wednesday night in Bakersfield in remembrance of Orrin and Orson West.

The community, along with members of the boys’ biological family attended the vigil organized by the group Thee Next Steps. District Attorney Cynthia Zimmer was also in attendance.

Those in attendance said while they’re angry and heartbroken over the latest developments, they’re hopeful justice will be served for Orrin and Orson West.

On Wednesday, DA Cynthia Zimmer announced there is evidence that Orrin and Orson West were dead three months before they were reported missing. The boys’ bodies have not been found.

The West boys’ adoptive parents Jacqueline and Trezell West are due in court Thursday for formal arraignment on charges of 2nd degree murder, willful cruelty to a child, and false report of emergency.
