UPDATE: Downtown DMV office reopens, southwest location closed after employee tests positive for COVID-19

UPDATE (July 2): The downtown Bakersfield DMV office reopened Thursday.

The southwest office on Schirra Court is now closed after an employee tested positive for COVID-19. It is still unknown when it will be back open.


BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The California Department of Motor Vehicles’ F Street office has been temporarily closed due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19.

The DMV said the office will be closed until tomorrow so that the facility can be cleaned.
