BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Thanksgiving is almost upon us, and so is Black Friday — and one Bakersfield mom has some special insight to help you pick out the best toys this holiday season.
Kailan Carr, known to some as “The Quiet Book Queen”, says she’s on a mission to preserve playtime in a screen saturated world. Carr’s latest published book, titled “Screens Away, Time To Play”, is a light-hearted rhyming book for children aged three to seven that shows the value of turning screens off and encouraging other ways to play.
