General election for U.S. House California District 21

Incumbent David Valadao and TJ Cox are running in the general election for U.S. House California District 21.


David Valadao (R) -incumbent

David G. Valadao is the Republican representative from California’s 21st Congressional District in the U.S. House. Valadao received his diploma from Hanford High School in 1995. He then attended College of the Sequoias. Valadao is managing partner of Valadao Dairy. He has also worked as regional leadership council chairman for Land O’Lakes Inc.

TJ Cox (D)

The son of immigrants, Cox was born and raised in California. His professional experience includes working as an engineer and small businessman. After volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, he created the Central Valley Fund, which “raises money for projects located in economically-disadvantaged neighborhoods throughout the Central Valley,” according to Cox’s 2018 campaign website. Cox has four children.
