Candy Cáceres is an Emmy nominated journalist as well as the weather anchor for Telemundo Valle Central.
She joined the team in March 2011 after moving from Los Angeles.
Candy grew up in the Dominican Republic until the age of 15, then moved to New Jersey where she attended New Jersey City State University. As a student, she interned for Telemundo 47, the local New York affiliate where she landed her first job in news industry.
In 2002 Candy moved to California as a general assignment reporter for KRCA Los Angeles where she covered a variety of stories from breaking news, immigration, homicides, and human interest.
Candy has made Bakersfield her home. She is committed to the community, regularly participating in a variety of events and charities.
In her free time she loves hiking, spending time with her daughter, Adrielle, and restoring old furniture.
Candy is a member National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
