From the Pinpoint Weather Center

    Blustery conditions are expected today in the Mountains and Desert as ocean-cooled air spills through the passes into the valley through the weekend. There is a Wind Advisory through 5am Thursday for the Kern Mountains and Deserts. The strongest winds will impact the Kern Mountain passes each afternoon and evening through at least Wednesday night. Gusty winds will kick up dust resulting in bad air quality for some areas. Temperatures Wednesday will be in the mid-70's and continue to be cool through the upcoming holiday weekend. No rain is forecsted.

Driving on the HWY 166 just past New Cuyama, my husband an I passed under this beautiful rainbow at 8:45 on 3/6/2014..what an awesome treat we drivers had this morning!
