For those in Kern County who have never ventured up the Kern River past Johnsondale I offer this image. This is a spectacular mountain range known as The Needles. It's amazing country and offers some breathtaking views of the Kern River Gorge and the mountain ranges that seperate our valley from the slopes off highway 395 and Yosmite to the north. A photographers dream.
