Many parents think that life for teenagers these days is so easy when it is obviously not. Parents think that just because we have technology that everything can be done with a press of a button. What they really dont know is that we face more problems now in school and outside of schools, just as teenagers than they did in the past.Even though we may have technology to make our lives easier than thiers once were more is expected of us. As young adults we dont know better because we have grown up with techology ,while the parents have grown to see the many changes. A typical day for and average student in my opinion is they wake up, head to school, take notes in most classes trying to pay attention to the teacher while being undisturbed by those studnets who dont even want to be in school in the first place , then sports(if any), home, homework, eat time to themseleves if any, and sleep then the cycle starts all over again. Now understand that is just an average student, but did you ever think about the students who go above and beyond what they should just to make sure that all the studnets are happy within the school. Take me for example I am the ASB President at my high school and i do so much but i love it,thats what im good at. I get up in the morning mostly dont eat in the morning because im am always rushing outside of the doors making sure i have everything while making my way to the bus stop to head to school. Once i am there i wait for the bell to ring or i am on my way to the activites office to make sure evrything is in order before my actual class which isnt until 2nd period. I go to all of my classes making sure i understand the curriculm that is being taught and if i do not understand i ask questions and do the best that i can. Once in 2nd period all i do is plan and try to work out the kinks for the new upcoming events, Is this going to work, would the students like this, How are we going to do that , you know the basic who, when, where, what and why situation deal. All day this is what i dedicate my time to not only that but i am also president of my friday night live club (fnl) which helps prevent drug and alcohol abuse in any manner. Then after school i am either in another club trying to learn more new and exciting projects or i am donating my time to help out Ms. Stevenson our activites director. Then once i am home i do all of my work and try to find some me time. Now i know this story may sound like just another teenager complain about his or her life but this is nothing but a brief reminder to parents that even though we may not pay bills or worry about children of our own, we still do have our bowls full. We still need to get past this stage in our lives just like you did when you were in high school so we can actually make the futre even more better.
