Miami, FL (Sports Network) - The Miami Heat signed forward Jarvis Varnado to a 10-day contract Wednesday.
A second-round pick by the Heat in the 2010 draft, Varnado did not make his NBA debut until this season when he appeared in five games for the Boston Celtics, collecting six points and three rebounds in 18 total minutes of action.
Boston waived him on Jan. 6.
