St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - St. Louis Blues forward Jamie Langenbrunner was diagnosed with a torn labrum in his hip that will require season-ending surgery, the team announced Saturday.
The surgery will sideline the 37-year-old for four-to-six months. That could mean the end of Langenbrunner's 18-year NHL career.
Langenbrunner has appeared in four games for St. Louis this season, registering an assist.
Over 1,109 career games with the Stars, Devils and Blues, Langenbrunner has amassed 243 goals and 420 assists.
The two-time Stanley Cup champion (Dallas 1999, New Jersey 2003) has also collected 34 goals and 53 assists in 146 postseason games.
