LAWNDALE, Calif. (AP) — Los Angeles County sheriff's officials say a deputy has been shot and wounded in Lawndale.
Deputy Byron Ward says the deputy was shot in the back or shoulder Tuesday night and taken to a hospital. A suspect also was wounded. Their conditions aren't known.
