WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama plans a trip to Capitol Hill this week to meet with lawmakers as his push for health care legislation moves forward.

Congressional officials say Obama plans to visit the Capitol on Friday. The officials spoke on the condition of anonymity because the meetings have not been announced.

The White House declined to confirm details of the president's schedule for Friday.

Obama's fellow Democrats are pushing a health care overhaul that remains the president's top domestic priority. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi hopes to have legislation on the House floor for a vote on Saturday.

There is no timetable for the health care overhaul in the Senate, where the legislation's fate is in considerably more doubt.
