President Obama may outline a plan during his State of the Union speech next week to provide preschool for all children within the next five years.

The Center for American Progress has released the plan Thursday that would provide pre-kindergarten programs for all 3 and 4-year-olds. For families with younger children, federal subsidies for child care would increase to an average 72 hundred dollars per child and the number of students in early head start programs would double.

But the proposal has a big price tag - almost 200 billion over the next 10 years.

The Obama administration has signaled that early childhood education will be a priority during the second term.

Another program dreamed up by stupid Dumocrats that we can not pay for. There needs to be a hunting season for liberals.

I'm with Ginny on this one. By the time Obama is out of office we are going to be in such a HUGE fiscal mess (I mean even worse than we are now) because he just wants to spend, spend, spend. I don't know if we will even make it through another four years of his spending before we end up another Greece. I never went to preschool and managed okay. I taught my kids their colors, numbers, shapes, ABCs 123s and they are managing just fine. One making good money working in Alaska and the other going to college full time (and holding down a close to full time job). Parental responsibility is rapidly falling by the wayside anyway and now the government wants to aid and abet that failure even more. I think old Obama will just keep pushing and pushing his socialist agenda for the next four years. After all, he can't run again so what does he have to lose? His own kids won't have to worry about money as daddy will provide for them. My kids are going to be suffering the burden of his out of control spending habits. This country is going to he@@ in a handbasket quickly and I too have about had it. If you want to know why they want to take away guns from citizens its so when we all reach our breaking point we can't rebel against our tyranical government.

I was a Obama supporter, but this is crazy, this is gonna be like the public school system but for preschool, forced to go to the school in your district, tax the people whether we send our kids or not, private daycare will rise cause they will see that public preschool is garbage an will offer more perks but will be so expensive like private school is now....I didn't see it before but I do see a lot of commie in our president!!!!

Good God Almighty, am I watching the Country being totally changed into a Government controlled environment? Are these pre-school programs going to be run by Govt controlled teachers who teach the party line? Obama and his cronies are looking more and more like Germany and Russia were years ago. And since when should it be the Govts role to provide these services? Why are people who have children no longer being held responsible for the support of their off spring? I raised my kids on my own dime, why should I be made to contribute, via my taxes, more and more to support other peoples lives? How much more is our economy going to fall with all of these new spending programs? Sorry, but I'm reaching my breaking point.
