An infant pulled from the family's bath tub after her mother allegedly left her alone has died of her injuries, the Kern County Coroner's Office reported Friday afternoon.

The child was identified as Khloe Love Labelle, 11 months.

The coroner said she died Friday at 3:02 a.m. at the Children's Hospital of Central California in Madera.

Police say they will seek criminal charges against her mother, Anita Labelle, 36, in connection with the death.

Officers said the mother had four children in the home at 4116 Killkenny Court, in south Bakersfield.

On Thursday morning, she bathed a 4-year-old while the Khloe slept, police said.

The mother took the other two kids, 1 and 2 years old to the store, leaving the 4-year-old home alone with Khloe, police said..

''While she was gone, it appears the 4-year-old that originally was taking a bath, decided to give the 11-month-old a bath while unsupervised," the  police statement said.

The mother called emergency crews at about 9:50 a.m.

"Upon arrival, officers were handed the 11-month-old child and CPR was performed until medical aid arrived," the police statement said. "Life saving efforts were continued and the child was transported to the Heart Hospital and then to Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera."
