Organizers of the Bakersfield Business Conference announced that Republican strategist and political commentator Karl Rove and Democrat political strategist and cable news commentator Bob Beckel will address the Business Conference on October 9, 2010. The Conference also announced that Newsweek contributing editor and MSNBC contributor Eleneanor Clift will address the 2010 Conference.

Last week, Conference organizers announced that former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney and legendary entertainer Ronnie Milsap would address the 2010 Conference. Other speakers confirmed to appear at the 2010 Conference include 2008 Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, academy-award winning actress Goldie-Hawn, former Vice President Dick Cheney, former Second Lady Lynne Cheney, former First Lady Laura Bush, and impressionist Rich Little. Conference organizers will continue to announce the names of speakers confirmed to address the 2010 Conference in weeks to come.

Conference organizer George F. Martin explains the selection of Karl Rove and Eleanor Clift:
"Many of our attendees will be interested in hearing from Rove about his experiences in the inner circle of the second Bush Administration along with his racehorse analysis of the 2010 elections. Rove is a masterful storyteller and we expect that he’ll both inform and captivate our audience.  “Bob Beckel is, in many ways, the mirror image of Karl Rove. Beckel is a tough and aggressive liberal political consultant who famously wrapped the “Where’s the Beef” slogan around Democratic primary opponent Gary Hart while Beckel was running Walter Mondale’s presidential campaign. Today, Beckel regularly appears on Fox News and remains one of the most recognized and respected voices in Democratic party politics.

“Eleanor Clift has covered Democratic Party politics and the political arena in Washington D.C. at the highest levels for more than three decades. Few can match her understanding of the power structure within the Democratic Party. If attendees enjoy her commentary on the McLaughlin Group or MSNBC, they’ll really enjoy her presentation at next year’s Conference. ”

Conference Director of Communications Brandon Martin added:  “Conference attendees who don’t find a particular speaker’s viewpoints on business, economics, or politics to their liking will be able to choose to listen to an alternative speaker with an alternative point of view in another forum on the Conference grounds. This is possible because the 2010 Conference will be running multiple stages in multiple tents. We’ll have 24 speakers in 2010 and conference goers will be able to pick and chose based on their own unique interests and preferences.”

The Bakersfield Business Conference is one of the nation's premiere platform speaking events. Over the years, the Conference has built a loyal following with its playful and patriotic ambiance and its presentation of politically-savvy entertainers alongside top business leaders, sports heroes, leading journalists, Nobel Prize winners, and veteran political figures.

Tickets for the 2010 Conference are being offered to the general public as part of a special “Early Eagle” discount ticket package that lasts until March 1, 2010 when all seats will go on sale at $425 each.
