Has everyone heard, Obama and the congress has given themselves a raise, so that's why they are cutting the military, they had to find the money somewhere! Oh we can't forget the Obama family four year world tour, I'm sure that will cost us atleast a trillion or more!

Let's cut congresses pay and Obama's pay and perks and give the military pay increases.They are more important than congress and the President as for as I,m concerned.

Politicians always want to cut everyone's pay but their own. I bet this country could save billions if we cut the outrageous pay and benefits our elected and appointed officials received. I'd like to see them get paid based on their job performance as rated by the American people. Our military personnel sacrifice so much for their country - maybe it's time our government did too. This is beyond shameful!

There are so many enlisted military who are already looking to welfare to help with their ability to support their families. A loss of a pay raise will only contribute to additional numbers having to join the ranks of welfare as a supplement. People think that our military members get everything taken care of while in service, but that is far from true. There are small stipends for some things, but it never comes close to covering much of the real cost. Unfortunately, many in this country no longer believe we need the military and would prefer that we downsize and maintain only a skeleton force located only in the US. And at this point I am beginning to believe that our current President feels the same way no matter what he says.

Cut Obummer and his staff and let's not forget this joke of of a congress and senate we got, I'm sure we can do without them all together! As for our troops they are under paid now for the crap they have to put up with and the lack of support of they get from so many! Enjoy you freedom while it last folks!

They never get paid enough anyway They do more for us than anyone. Shame on anybody who wants to cut the pay of the military Leon Pannetta is a fool to make the suggestion .Are these people that out of touch that they would make such a stupid suggestion I would like somebody to petition the Government for a pay increase for all armed service personnel

A pay cut for enlisted personel and their families is wrong. They are laying their lives on the line to protect us and this is how Washington thanks them? More money can be saved by cutting welfare, a 100% drain on the country with no bennificial results from the money invested.
