Travelers are feeling the effects of a storm as it moves to the northeast.

Blizzard warnings are holding up flights across the country. More than 1,000 flights have been cancelled nationwide, and more than 4,000 delayed.

But at Meadows Field Airport the problems aren't really reaching flyers.  There were just a handful of delays this(Wednesday) morning, due to weather wherever the flights were heading," says airports director Jack Gotcher.

"Meadows Field is blessed with fairly good weather. We had some delays because of some fog a couple days ago. And there are people coming from the northeast, that may get delayed en route, but it's not due to anything here. You can get in and out of here anytime of year," adds Gotcher.

He says it is still a good idea to arrive early for your flight.
