BAKERSFIELD, CA - A toddler has died after falling in a backyard pool in northwest Bakersfield. Police say 2-year-old Uriah Prendez fell in the pool just before six o'clock Monday night at a home in the 2500 block of Sawtooth Avenue, off Allen and Hageman Roads.
The boy was taken to Mercy Southwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead less than an hour later. An autopsy will be scheduled to determine his exact cause of death.
