AS A NATIVE CALIFORNIAN, I WILL TRULY MISS HUELL HOWSER. HE BROUGHT BACK MANY MEMORIES OF MY CHILDHOOD AS WE TRAVED ALL ALONG THE COAST OF CALIFORNIA WITH MY PARENTS (MY GRANDMA LIVED IN CAMBRIA) AND MY UNCLE RICHARD VAN WAGNER WAS A PROFESSOR OF CALIFORNIA HISTORY AT HUMBOLT STATE. I WILL MISS HIS ENTHUSIASM OF ALL HIS STORIES, A TRUE TREASURE HE WAS!

My husband and I are so sad to hear this terrible news about Huell. He was a real treasure who brought many wonderful things about CA into the mainstream. He seemed so down to earth, kind, and generous. I will miss his folksy style. He was truly California's gold.
