Taft School District officials must protect accused shooter's record

Taft parents met with district officials Tuesday night to discuss this month's school shooting. Parents demanded answers as to why the district won't release the accused shooter's disciplinary history. But, releasing student information is not only against the Education Code, it's also against Federal law.

This is true. No one can see a child's discipline history, except his teachers. And they can't discuss it. Students can basically say just about anything without getting into trouble. Only when they act can anything be done. So, parents, protect your kids because no one else will.
