The suspected drunk driver accused of killing 18-year-old Breana Webb early Monday morning, made his first court appearance Tuesday. Martin Juarez, 33, faces second degree murder charges, including DUI causing bodily injury. He's being held on $1.2 million bail.

In court, it was revealed Juarez is also charged with hit-and-run.

The District Attorney's office says Juarez ran from the crash scene on Coffee Road, but was caught after a short chase.

Juarez pleaded 'not guilty' to all charges. His attorney says this case may not be a cut and dry DUI.

"If you are hypoglycemic and you have a hypoglycemic event, many emergency rooms will mistake that for being under the influence of alcohol. We don't know what's going on. But, I understand there may be some issues there we may need to look into. We haven't seen the reports. There's obviously going to be issues as to who caused what to happen," said Bill Slocumb, Juarez's attorney.

Juarez is also charged with gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, DUI causing bodily injury, and hit-and-run causing death or permanent injury. His next court appearance is January 8th.

In my opinion it is both parties fault! what if it would have been the other way around and the girl would have hit and killed the man! teens these days forget that everything they post on social media is available for anyone to see! On the gals twitter what it seems to be is that she was also drinking when she waas at the party i am not saying the man is not guilty but i say both parties are to be held guilty!

If the DA's office believes that culpability ends with the prosecution of Mr. Juarez they will have failed in their duty to pursue justice. The scumbags who hosted a drinking party for minors must also be held accountable. It doesn't require genius to realize why young "men" might wish to aid young women to become intoxicated. Even if @DRUNKGALVEZ didn't furnish the ethanol, he knows who did. Ms. Green, please see to it that all of the parties who contributed to this tragedy pay the price of their iniquity. God knows Breana did.

What the heck are these young people doing out at 4am!!! Sounds like some parents have, again, failed in their attempt to raise good kids.

We know she had admitted to playing drinking games and driving. Be thankful she did not kill someone else before the accident.
