Suspect killed by deputies; Lamont school day cancelled

Sheriff's deputies killed a suspect after a 10-hour manhunt in Lamont Thursday morning, a spokesman reported. An hour before the shooting, classes were cancelled in the community's school district.

He tried three times to murder a deputy sheriff--running from the original stop, again when located a couple of hours later, and then shooting at the SWAT team who successfully shot and killed him. I'm sure his parents will tell reporters what a "great kid" he was, but I'm thrilled that he wont' be able to victimize anyone else, and his career of being a burden to society just ended. Great job deputies!!

Shooting at a highly trained SWAT team who are armed with automatic rifles? Obviously he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed. (Pun intended).
