Good eating habits start at home when the children are small. If a child is given the right foods to eat when they are very young, they will most likely continue their eating habits. Same is true for unhealthy eathing habits.

When the kids of today spend all of their time sitting in front of game boxes and computers they are not doing anything to burn calories. If parents limited the time/use of these kids might just have to go outside and play. As someone who grew up before all of these tech toys, if I wasn't at school I was outside running around, riding my bike, from dawn to dusk and I couldn't eat enough to replace all of the calories I burned off on a daily basis. Kids need to get up off of their behinds.
